A nice family campground. Lots of children around. Nice for canoeing. Love the ducks and guinea hens.

I’m seeing some older reviews about some scary crazy mean owner guy, and a rampant drug problem, but I will say we personally did not experience or witness either of those issues. There are trailers with what seem like year long residents, but they said hello and were friendly and there were no issues either.
The cops showed up every night, a lot of shady business going on and did not feel safe while we were there, fights were breaking out with the people the lived there year round not sure why they called it a luxury RV resort. Plus side we were able to move our site without any issues and made friends with a wonderful mother and son who went home most nights because of all the fights/ cops etc.
We had a WONDERFUL time off-season camping. The staff was exceptionally nice and the tent sites were clean and easy to get to. Firewood is inexpensive, there’s a hose hookup and power outlets if you really need them, and there’s a general store right there with anything you may have forgotten, including ice. Hot showers and clean bathrooms. Kayaking for the brave - lots of rocks and felled trees, and strong current from Pine Lake, keep it interesting. The staff responds to emailed questions very quickly, and are extremely polite and helpful. HIGHLY recommend! Only downsides - no close hiking nearby, and you pick your own campsite when you get there. It worked out well for us, but it would be rough for campers who get there late.
